Patient guide: Doxy.me's new look

New look, same simple and secure doxy.me - coming soon!

Updated over a week ago

Doxy.me (doc-SEE-me) is the telehealth platform that your provider uses for virtual appointments.

In June, you may notice that your telehealth experience looks a little different. That’s because we’re redesigning doxy.me to make your virtual care feel like a personalized, in-person conversation with your provider.

Doxy.me’s look may be new, but it’s the same secure, HIPAA-compliant platform trusted by millions of providers around the world and loved by patients. Connect to care from any device, no log-in or downloads required.

Can I still join the call with one click?

Yes! The way you join your telehealth appointment remains the same. Provider waiting room links are not changing.

Why the new look?

Our new interface puts the focus of the call on you and your provider, not on menu options and settings.

What to expect: The new doxy.me

How to join your telehealth appointment

Your provider will send a link, email invitation, or text invitation for you to use to access their waiting room. Already have a waiting room link from your provider? Use this link to join your appointment.

Check in for appointments

Enter your name and grant access to your camera and microphone. You'll enter your provider's waiting room and they'll be notified you're ready.

Preview your video before you join

Using the Self-preview menu, you can pin your video, switch cameras, and hide your preview. On mobile devices, use the “switch camera” function to alternate between the front and back cameras.

Speak with your provider

Your provider will begin your appointment and will be fully displayed across your screen. During your appointment, you'll see an appointment timer above your provider's name and control bar. The control bar lets you turn off your camera, mute your microphone, send a chat message to your provider, and end the call.

After 5 seconds of no mouse movement on the screen, the call control bar will fade from view so you can focus on the call. If you need the control bar, simply move your mouse or tap your screen and it will re-appear.
