Expand each section to learn about in-app tools and actions

Toolbar

The toolbar is accessible on the left side of the board.

💡 Tip: The toolbar adjusts and collapses depending on the size of your browser window or device. You and your patient may see different views of the toolbar.

Zoom and pan

When using a trackpad, you can zoom by using two fingers in a pinching motion (in and out). To move around the whiteboard (pan), use a two finger scroll motion in any direction.

When using a mouse, if you would like to pan instead of draw, simply press the space bar or option/alt key to switch to pan mode. Press again to switch back. To zoom with a mouse, hold down the control key and then zoom with the wheel on the mouse.

You can also use the keyboard shortcut options of + / - to zoom, and the arrow keys to pan.

Draw and create shapes

You can draw and add shapes by using the first three buttons on the toolbar. Click on each button to open options for color and size.

Insert text and notes

Use the text and note buttons to add written content to the board. Each option has a toolbar with formatting options. Any changes made will apply to the entire box or note.

Both text boxes and notes automatically expand vertically as you type. To expand horizontally, click out of the box or note and then click back in to activate the sizing button in the bottom right corner.

Add files and annotate

To add a file (image or document) to Whiteboard, try one of the following methods:

  1. Drag and drop the file onto the board

  2. Copy and paste

  3. Use the Add File button on the toolbar

Whiteboard supports the following file types (up to 10mb):

  • Excel (.xls)

  • Powerpoint (.pptx)

Download a copy of the Whiteboard

If you or your patient would like to keep a copy of the board, it must be downloaded before the app is closed.

To download a copy use one of the below options:

1. Take a screenshot on your device

2. Click the Export button on the toolbar. The contents of the board will be captured and added to the Downloads folder on your device. No video thumbnails are captured for privacy purposes.

Whiteboard blocked?

If your organization is using a device management system that blocks sites for security purposes, you'll need to ask your IT team to add https://doxy.limnu.com to their list of allowed sites.

Pause a session with Whiteboard active

You may pause a session during Whiteboard use and then begin the call again with the same patient. As long as you and the patient do not refresh browsers or close the browser tab, the Whiteboard will reappear when the session resumes. (If you are pausing the session to see another patient, please close the Whiteboard before pausing the session.)
