Securely transfer files to and from your patients

The File transfer feature offers two-way file sharing between you and your patient.

Note: File transfer is coming to Group Call in Doxy.me 2.0 in late 2024!

This feature is available on Paid plans and all devices ⭐


How to use it:

Send files to your patient

  1. Click the My apps button

  2. Click File transfer

  3. Click Select files to share

    • Upload a maximum of 5 files by dragging and dropping them into the uploader or select files to share from your device

  4. Click Send files

  5. Keep track of the transfer status

    • Uploading files

    • Files successfully uploaded

    • Waiting for patient to start the download

    • Patient is downloading

    • Files successfully transferred

  6. Your patient can access these files from their device’s downloads folder


My apps - Click "File transfer" to open the feature


Click "Send files" to share with your patient

Request files from your patient

  1. Click the My apps button

  2. Click File transfer

  3. Click Request patient to share files

    • Your patient can upload a maximum of 5 files by dragging and dropping them into the uploader or by selecting files to share from their device

  4. You’ll be prompted to download the files your patient shared

  5. Access downloaded files by going to your device’s downloads folder


Ask your patient to share files with you by clicking "Request patient to share files"


Download the files your patient shared


Securely share the following file types:*

  • pdf

  • jpeg, jpg

  • doc, docx

  • png

  • ppt, pptx

  • xlsx

File transfer is available on Pro and Clinic plans.

*Transfer a maximum of 5 files, up to 100MB total
