Do I need to download an app?

Patients: No, unlike other video platforms, patients don’t need to download anything to join a doxy.me appointment. Just click the link your provider sends you. It will open in your web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).

Providers: No download is required for providers to use doxy.me. Log in directly at https://doxy.me/v2/sign-in/ to start sessions.


Do I need a doxy.me account?

Patients: No, patients do not need a doxy.me account. You simply use the link your provider sent to check in to their Waiting Room.

Providers: Yes, providers do need a doxy.me account to have appointments with patients. When you sign up, you create a personalized URL to share with all patients.


How do I join a call?

Patients:
To join a call, patients should look in their appointment confirmation email or text for their provider’s doxy.me link (e.g., doxy.me/drsmith).

  1. Click the link to check in. You may be asked to type your name when checking in

  2. Wait in the Waiting Room for your provider to start the call​


Providers:
To begin an appointment with a patient, providers should:

  1. Share your Waiting Room link with patients ahead of time

  2. Start the call when your patient checks in


Is doxy.me free?

Patients: Yes, doxy.me is always free for patients. You’ll never be charged to connect with your provider on the platform. Your provider may bill you for their services, but accessing the visit through doxy.me itself does not cost patients anything.

Providers: For providers, doxy.me offers a free version that offers essential features. Paid plans are available for advanced features like Group Calls, Virtual Backgrounds, and telehealth tools.


Is doxy.me safe?

Patients: Yes, patient safety and privacy are always the priority. All audio and video are encrypted, and no call data is stored.

Providers: Doxy.me is HIPAA-compliant and SOCII certified. The platform is built specifically for telehealth security needs.


Can I use doxy.me on my phone?

Patients: Yes, you can use doxy.me on your phone. Just open your provider’s link in your mobile browser (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android). No app required.
