Get to know Record

You can start and stop an audio recording right from the in-call control bar at any time, and turn on optional auto-launch to begin recording automatically at the start of each session.

Record has clear in-session indicators to keep all participants informed that recording is in progress. You can also download a full transcript once your session has ended, making documentation and future reference simple, without disrupting your workflow.

  • Launch directly from your session, or choose to auto-launch each time

  • Download audio recordings immediately after your session as needed

  • Replay downloaded recordings anytime, to support accurate notes and follow up

  • Use with Scribe or Transcript, for optional summaries and transcripts

Record is HIPAA-compliant and maintains strict data security, with no information stored or used for training purposes.

To use Record with Scribe, start your session, launch Record, then open Scribe from the in-call menu, to generate summarized notes SOAP or DAP notes.

💡 Only the provider can start or stop a recording. The patient does not have the option to do this.

Understand the patient’s Record experience

The patient’s Record experience is different to yours.

When Record is used during a session, patients are kept fully informed throughout the process.

  • Before recording begins, patients are verbally notified and must acknowledge that the session will be recorded

  • Once recording starts, an on-screen indicator lets patients know that recording is active

  • If the recording is stopped, the indicator updates accordingly

  • Patients cannot start, stop, or manage the recording, only the provider has this control

Record is designed to maintain transparency and support a clear, comfortable experience for patients during audio-only session recording.
