We hope that you can easily find and use all of the features on doxy.me. But for those who prefer to prepare for a call by learning about the features, here is an overview of the the features and settings that are available to you while you are on a call with your provider.

Use the control bar for essential actions

Nearly everything can be accessed through the Control bar at the bottom of your screen.

Keep in mind that the Control bar hides itself after two seconds of not actively moving your mouse (on a desktop) or touching the screen (on a mobile device).

From left to right, the options on the Control bar include:

  • Turn off/on your video

  • Mute/unmute your microphone

  • Options menu

  • End the call

Discover more options

The three dots on the Control bar is where you will find the Options menu.

Within the Options menu, you can choose the following:

  • Enter full screen mode

  • Access settings to change your camera, mic, or speaker (shown below)

  • Use troubleshooting to fix some audio and video issues

Chat with your provider

To send chat messages with your provider while on a call, use the panel at the top left of your screen. Click the down arrow next to your provider's name as shown below.

Chat can be helpful if you need to:

  • Get the exact name of the medication or diagnosis you are discussing

  • Share a web link

  • Ask or answer a question privately (if you are in a place where people may hear)

  • Communicate with written text due to challenges with hearing or speaking

    • If you believe you may need a translator, let your provider know in advance. Doxy.me does offer access to online translators that your provider may have access to.

If you have any questions, please contact our support team.
