Minimum system requirements

The device and browser requirements needed to support doxy.me

Updated this week

To have a smooth doxy.me experience, your device needs to meet the general requirements outlined in this article. Since doxy.me uses WebRTC technology, you can use most devices, as long as your browser is up to date.

Keeping your browser current will help ensure everything works as expected.

General requirements:

  • Internet access: Broadband wired or wireless

  • Speaker/microphone: Built-in, plug-in, or wireless

  • Camera: Built-in or plug-in

Supported devices:

We support devices that can run the latest versions of supported internet browsers. Generally, these devices operate on:

  • Windows 7 or later

  • Mac OS 11.7 or later

  • iOS 15 or later

  • Android 12 or later

Due to the increase in system load, our minimum suggested device specs for using apps (such as Virtual Backgrounds) are as followed:

  • CPU — Intel Core i5 (with 4 cores or higher) or Apple Silicon M1 (or higher)

  • 8G RAM (or more)

  • Dedicated GPU (for example, NVIDIA)
